Last Year Malta focused on the outdoors. We were active in courtyards, parks, on a meadow, by a river and even in a river. This year the outdoors will be a big part of the festival too. We are announcing an open call to street, outdoor, new-circus or juggling activities. Applications can be sent by 18th April. Let’s fill the city with art!
The pandemic continues. It has turned upside down our thinking about meetings with the audience. Streaming has become a rule, while meetings an exception. We believe that Malta 2021 will be able to take place not only on a computer screen, that the summer breeze and appropriate distance in public spaces, following the sanitary regulations, will make it possible to watch live art.
We would like to invite artists to submit proposals for public space activities to be held as part of Malta Festival Poznań 2021. We are interested in diverse forms – from short theatre productions of literature, dance, music and puppet productions through happenings and performances, new-circus productions involving juggling, stilts, optical theatre to pure mime. Solo, in a duo, or group. Without stage design or with props that can fit into a small or a slightly larger suitcase.

COSTS
The maximum cost estimate of one project is up to PLN 8000 gross, including the salaries and related items and production cost.
